Our Family
We are blessed to live on 8 acres of God's country, nestled among the beautiful rolling hills of upstate New York's Washington County. For many years, we've focused on raising and homeschooling our 7 children. As some kids flew the coop, we began adding a few lovable Labrador Retrievers to our family.
Our labs spend time both in and out of our home. The females are in our home to whelp and raise their litters. Our children - and now grandchildren - watch/help with the whelping process, and they help to socialize the new puppies. We handle our pups extensively, touching eyes, ears, and mouths, clipping their nails, and introducing them to water and a crate. They are exposed to a wide variety of sounds and surfaces. Between our lawn maintenance and snow plowing business, several hundred laying hens pastured on our property in a movable coop, and a busy household, our pups are exposed to a wide variety stimuli before heading to their forever homes. And when that day comes, they will have been wormed, vet checked, and loved on; and our good-byes will be accompanied by several toys and some soft fabric for cuddling that smells like mom and littermates, along with some raw food and supplements to ease the transition into their new environment. Also, we'll have a puppy packet that includes their AKC paperwork, pedigrees, and much valuable information ready. And always, the promise to be available should questions arise. We welcome you to browse some photos of our glorious corner of upstate NY and see where we raise our Labradors. |
